Finland’s Public Broadcaster YLE launches TV series director training, selects Inka Rusi

Responding to the growing need for directors experienced in high end TV series, Finland’s Public Broadcaster Yle is launching an immersive directing program for up-and-coming directors, taking place throughout 2023. Onerva Pictures’ own Inka Rusi was selected to participate from a high number of qualified applicants.

The goal of the training is to develop the broad range of skills required by working series directors to plan and oversee drama series productions. It will also allow organic networking between the directors, who will often share directing duties on a single season of a drama production.

Hendrik Handgloeten, writer and director of the hit series Babylon Berlin will be a mentor to the participants during the first stage of the program.
